RELEASE Zuuse 1.21 – Summary

On 20 July 2017, Zuuse release 1.21 was rolled out to our cloud users.

capture

Zuuse Capture

This version of Capture introduces an improved syncing mechanism. This effectively means that we now support larger data sets and faster sync operations. A benefit immediately is that more assets can be stored per device – approximately double previous capacity. This also lays the foundation for adding more exciting enhancements to the app in the future. So stay tuned!

With this release, to ensure ongoing operation of your Capture installation, the new app must be installed. A detailed instruction sheet about this has been distributed to impacted clients.

Other features:

  • Partition button is removed – partitioning now happens automatically after the initial sync without the user having to do anything.
  • Support for ‘Go to Capture’ button in Zuuse Qube app.
  • Yes/No/Unknown choice now available as a field in the app.
  • Ability to add instructional text without being a field (e.g. how to scan assets or fill out form).
  • Technical / bug fixes.
QUBE

Zuuse Qube

The key new feature for this release of Zuuse Qube is download on demand. During the initial sync, all information is synced to the mobile device so it is available whilst offline.  This new feature accommodates where there is more data available to download that can be stored on the device.  On the initial sync, only the file name of linked documents is displayed and searchable. To view the file, press the ‘Download’ button whilst online.

Other features:

  • Usability enhancements – enhanced joystick navigation for a smoother experience, asset description in the lower third of the screen to show 40+ characters.
  • Re-skin the lower-third of the screen and improved readability of asset data when the asset is selected.
  • Display file title rather than the filename.
  • Selecting an asset in the model goes to front search.
  • Improved diagnostics screen response on large file counts.
  • Technical / bug fixes.
